Happy Halloween!

Here are some pictures of the week leading up to Halloween...
We took Jacob to a little pumpkin patch here in Key West where I had these overly ambitious plans to take some cute and cliche pictures of him frolicking amongst the pumpkins. As you can see, I even dressed him in a color coordinated outfit that I thought would compliment the orangeness of the pumpkins. The above picture is the only one I took. Oh well, plans change! He actually had a great time but he wouldn't sit still long enough for me to take pictures and I'm just not as fast as I used to be...or something.
On the Thursday before Halloween, we celebrated at his school. Jacob got to wear his Thomas costume and I am so glad I took this picture before we left. This moment didn't even last for a second so I was definitely in the right place at the right time. It was practically impossible to get a picture of him once we got to school.
Here Jacob is playing at school before the festivities started. The Longhorn cheerleader in the background is Jacob's friend and neighbor Haley. He really likes her and talks about her often. It's nice to have some fellow Texans around :)
We took him trick-or-treating last night which was a lot of fun. It was so funny watching him figure it out and get the hang of things. He was very cautious but got more confident as the night went on. We only got him to say trick or treat a few times but he said thank you to almost everyone that gave him candy!
He definitely didn't get the concept of waiting until we got home to eat the candy and he had a few snacks along the way. He was saying "cheese" in this picture but obviously was more interested in that sucker than he was in smiling or even looking at the camera.
Finally on the way home! I was surprised he made it as far as he did. The stain on his tummy and cheek is some left over M&Ms that he treated himself to.
Here we are back at our house. I actually like the red eyes in this picture because I think it really represents Jacob at this point. He was on a sugar high! I can't wait for next year!
